Welcome to [Your Website Name]. We are dedicated to providing healthy, well-socialized British Shorthair kittens to loving homes. Please read our Refund & Return Policy carefully before placing a reservation or purchasing a kitten.
1. General Policy
Because we sell live animals, standard retail return policies do not apply. Every kitten receives individualized care, veterinary attention, and socialization before joining its new family. As a result, all sales are subject to the terms outlined below.
2. Reservation Deposits
A deposit is required to reserve a specific kitten.
- Deposits are non-refundable.
- A reserved kitten will be removed from public availability.
- Deposits may be transferred to another available kitten at our discretion.
- If we are unable to provide the reserved kitten due to illness, injury, or other unforeseen circumstances, the deposit will be fully refunded or transferred to another kitten at the buyer’s choice.
3. Final Payment
Full payment must be received before or at the time of collection or delivery.
Once ownership of the kitten has been transferred to the buyer, all sales are considered final except where required by applicable law or expressly covered under our health guarantee.
4. Health Guarantee
All kittens are:
- Examined by a licensed veterinarian before placement.
- Age-appropriate vaccinated.
- Dewormed as recommended by our veterinarian.
- Provided with available health records.
If a licensed veterinarian diagnoses a serious congenital or hereditary condition within 12 months of the purchase date, the buyer must:
- Notify us within 72 hours of diagnosis.
- Provide veterinary documentation and test results.
- Allow us to review the medical findings.
Upon verification, we may offer one of the following remedies:
- A replacement kitten (subject to availability).
- Partial reimbursement of the purchase price.
- A full refund of the purchase price.
The chosen remedy will be determined at our sole discretion and in accordance with applicable laws.
5. Buyer Responsibilities
The buyer agrees to:
- Provide appropriate housing, nutrition, and veterinary care.
- Follow veterinary recommendations regarding vaccinations and healthcare.
- Maintain a safe and suitable environment for the kitten.
The health guarantee does not cover illnesses, injuries, or conditions resulting from:
- Neglect or abuse.
- Accidents.
- Improper nutrition.
- Failure to seek veterinary care.
- Environmental factors after the kitten leaves our care.
6. Returns
We encourage buyers to carefully consider their decision before purchasing a kitten.
We do not offer refunds simply because:
- The buyer changes their mind.
- Family circumstances change.
- Housing restrictions arise.
- Allergies are discovered after purchase.
- The buyer no longer wishes to own the kitten.
However, if a buyer can no longer care for the kitten, we request that they contact us before surrendering or rehoming the animal. We may be able to assist in finding a suitable new home.
Acceptance of a returned kitten does not guarantee a refund.
7. Delivery and Collection
Buyers should inspect their kitten upon collection or delivery.
Any concerns regarding the kitten’s condition must be reported within 24 hours of receipt.
Failure to report concerns within this period may affect eligibility for remedies under this policy.
8. Cancellations
Before Reservation
No cancellation fees apply before a deposit is paid.
After Reservation
If the buyer cancels after paying a deposit, the deposit will be forfeited.
After Full Payment
Refund requests after full payment but before collection or delivery may be considered on a case-by-case basis and may be subject to administrative and care-related expenses.
9. Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be issued through the original payment method whenever possible. Refunds are generally processed within 7–14 business days after approval.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability shall not exceed the original purchase price paid for the kitten. We are not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential expenses, including future veterinary costs, emotional distress, or other related losses.
